Our House in the Middle of our Street

Our House in the Middle of our Street.

Being a first time home owner is kind of a huge deal. I don’t even want to know how much time I have spent between real estate websites and Pinterest just fantasizing about decorating a mantel and spray painting whatever the hell I want. Riveting, I know, but I can’t help myself. I  love being a home owner.

Choosing the right home is a crazy intimidating process on its own (especially if you are as indecisive as I am.) No pressure but this is where you will be living..forever(ish)… so make sure ya like it. We saw about six other houses before we finally found our home. When we came across our home we fell in love with it. She met our criteria beautifully -In our price range, close to the city and both our jobs, on a quiet street, and just the right size. It made you feel like Goldilocks hitting the jackpot that was just right.

And so begins our adventure. We are learning rather quickly that we can’t really just sit back and chillax in our house anymore. We have so many ideas and projects oozing out of every room. Our number 1 priority for fixing up our home is the price tag. We try to be as frugal and thrifty as possible with each project we do. That is why we wanted to create this blog. To share ways to make updates without going completely broke in the process.

Lets do this!!!

Love,
The Winters
